AFRICAN TEXTILES by Peter 8DS
When getting close to the textiles room I could hear the interesting chatter coming from inside.
When I walked in I saw lots of people sitting around tables with sheets of thin fabric wrapped in something which seemed like cardboard, but it looked like it was done very well. The pictures being drawn looked quite good too, as they were drawing lots of , sometimes very detailed pictures, of animals in their habitats. To do this they were using crayon type colouring items, and drawing the trees and animals that they needed to draw. |
To tell them what to draw and teach them good techniques of how to do this was a man called Steven Kasamba who came from Kampala, the capital of Uganda.
Everyone said that they greatly enjoyed doing the African textiles, and they did this activity with good enthusiasm. |
